Supply Service Lead - Jan Dekker
Jan Dekker is looking for a new colleague for the role of Supply Service lead in Amsterdam.
The supply service team is an important link in the distribution of the Jan Dekker product portfolio in our international chain. The team is responsible for the operational handling of both purchase and sales orders. They ensure that the entire supply chain process, from procurement from the manufacturer to delivery to the end customer, runs smoothly and meets the highest quality standards. The team is in daily contact with suppliers, production, warehouse, transporters and customers. For this team, we are looking for a coordinator who provides both day-to-day supervision of the team and also has his/her own operational tasks. For the team you are the go-to person for operational questions. You are the senior member of the team and provide support, especially in more complex situations and projects. You are also always looking for opportunities to optimise processes, systems and the team itself.
Key tasks and responsibilities
The job responsibilities include a wide range of logistics, coordinating and administrative tasks. Specifically, the role includes the following tasks and responsibilities:
- You are the first point of contact for the team in case of questions;
- You are responsible for processing and following up purchase and sales orders for a specific region;
- You will prepare and follow up import and export shipments;
- You maintain an overview of the team's workload and anticipate possible stagnation;
- You are involved in optimisation projects and new (software) implementations;
- You are an escalation point for team members and external partners;
- You provide solutions and alternatives to problems that arise;
- You contribute to the team's performance reviews and are involved in any recruitment processes;
- You ensure service continuity and proper staffing during illness/absence;
- In the absence of a colleague, you will be able to act as back-up.

Job requirements:
- A valid EU work permit is required;
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree;
- Several years of proven work experience in a coordinating/leading role is a must;
- Experience with ERP systems (JDEdwards) and the order to cash process is a must;
- Knowledge of logistics processes and supply chain is a must;
- Proven experience in import and export and all documentation is a must;
- Strong communication skills, both within the team and towards external parties;
- Team player, proactive and solution-oriented;
- Accurate and analytical thinking.
