Wat we vragen

For this role we are looking for someone with:

Solid understanding of packaging legislation (especially PPWR), and experience in FMCG of 5 - 10+ years.
Ability to lead long-term, cross-functional programs that drive compliance.
Skills to cooperate in multidisciplinary teams, taking responsibility for its own work and who is continuously looking for new opportunities to make a change.
Self-starting capabilities to find his/her way in the always challenging area of sustainability, food safety, legal compliance and cost price of finished goods.
An academic background in (food) law, chemistry or packaging/engineering; a PhD degree is preferred.

The Senior Expert Packaging Legislation & Programs at FrieslandCampina operates within a rapidly developing regulatory landscape. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with current and future sustainable packaging legislation. Moreover initiating change programs is crucial. Primary focus will be Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) in the EU but with expected global extension thereof. Anticipation is key in this function.

The role demands an understanding of sustainable packaging related requirements for various products, the ability to navigate non-harmonized regulations across different countries and to define and initiate change programs. Key responsibilities include advising cross-functional teams and managing external relationships with relevant knowledge carriers in this area.

The expert also plays a crucial role in addressing risks associated with packaging materials, such as Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR). Effective collaboration with departments such as R&D GPD, NPD, PA/CA, RA and QA is essential to align regulatory strategies with business objectives, ensuring competitive and compliant delivery of products globally.
