Intercompany Operations in IMCD
IMCD Intercompany business covers commercial activities between legal entities within the IMCD group. These internal transactions must be handled like external ones, with proper pricing, contracts, and compliance to meet transfer pricing rules and local regulations. Operations are centralized in the Benelux, with processing in the U.K. and Germany, and logistics managed by third parties.
About the role:
The Intercompany Operations Lead will be responsible for central coordination and oversight of all intercompany supply chain operations across EMEA. The role focuses on driving operational excellence, ensuring robust forecast management, and optimizing performance to enable seamless product flow between group companies while supporting business objectives.
Your responsibilities:
Central Coordination & Governance
- Act as the central point of contact for all intercompany supply chain activities across EMEA.
- Develop, implement, and maintain standardized intercompany processes, and best practices.
- Coordinate cross-border supply chain activities to ensure compliance with internal controls, customs, and regulatory requirements.
Operational Excellence
- Lead initiatives to streamline intercompany material flows and reduce lead times.
- Monitor and manage intercompany inventory levels to optimize working capital while meeting service level agreements.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement projects to drive efficiency and reduce waste in intercompany transactions.
- Manage the Third-Party Logistics Service providers in place and implement continuous improvement projects to drive efficiency.
Forecast & Demand Planning
- Develop and maintain accurate intercompany demand forecasts in collaboration with country-level teams, International Product Managers and sales.
- Monitor forecast accuracy, analyze variances, and drive actions to improve planning performance.
- Ensure alignment between supply and demand across different entities to avoid stock-outs or excess inventory.
Performance Management
- Define, track, and report KPIs for intercompany supply chain performance, including service levels, lead times, forecast accuracy, and cost efficiency.
- Prepare and deliver regular performance reports and presentations for senior management.
- Manage NCR’s, drive root cause analysis and corrective actions where targets are not met.
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with supply chain, finance, sales, and operations teams across multiple countries.
- Act as a trusted advisor for intercompany supply chain matters, providing guidance and support to local teams.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings to resolve issues and align priorities.
Your Profile:
- Drive and positive energy, an effective influencer and motivator. Excellent interpersonal skills, able to get things done through others in an international setting.
- Ability to collect and analyze data from dispersed countries and functions. Make fact based recommendations to improve the intercompany supply chain in IMCD.
- Good project management skills.
- Knowledge of the ISO standards and/or other quality standards.
- Strong written English language and editing capabilities.
- Conscientious and precise individual with an eye for detail.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A relevant professional certification (e.g., APICS, CSCP, Six Sigma) is an advantage.
- Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in supply chain management, with a significant focus on intercompany or multi-country coordination.
- Proven track record in demand forecasting, inventory management, and performance improvement within a complex, multi-national environment.
