As National Sales Manager you are responsible for developing the U.S. market and managing complex, long-term sales projects. The role combines a high level of autonomy with direct commercial impact and close collaboration with professional customers.
What are you going to do?
As National Sales Manager you are responsible for growing VDL Jansen’s business in the U.S. poultry market. You act as the commercial link between VDL Jansen, its dealers, and end customers, managing long sales cycles and technically complex projects. This is a field-based position with a strong focus on relationship building, market development, and long-term cooperation.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Develop and implement commercial plans for the U.S. poultry market
- Manage and expand relationships with dealers, integrators, and key customers
- Identify new market opportunities and translate them into concrete projects
- Guide customers through complex purchasing and decision-making processes
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and long-term agreements
- Work closely with internal engineering, project, and service teams
- Track market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments
- Travel extensively within the United States to support customers and partners

Profile
You are an experienced sales professional with a strong affinity for technical systems and professional production environments. You are comfortable operating independently, building trust with stakeholders at all levels, and managing large, long-term sales projects.
Job requirements:
- At least 10 years of experience in sales, preferably in capital equipment, agri-tech, or poultry-related industries
- Solid understanding of poultry production processes and technical systems
- Proven track record in closing high-value, complex sales
- Bachelor’s degree in business, agriculture, engineering, or a related field
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Based in the United States and willing to travel frequently
