Research Internship: Salt Impact on Tendra FBPI
Wat ga je doen?
Can you help us unlock what we don't yet understand?
Our R&D team is exploring Tendra FBPI in innovative hybrid food applications. The current formulation faces some challenges, as its functional characteristics shift with the addition of certain salts, changes we can’t yet fully explain. That’s why we’re looking for someone with a natural curiosity to dig deeper, someone eager to uncover the fundamental science behind what makes our plant-based protein ingredient truly perform in a hybrid food system.
That's where you come in.
During this internship, you'll explore how salts influence the functionality of Tendra FBPI, our fava bean protein isolate. This isn't just theoretical research because your findings will directly contribute to making Tendra FBPI more effective in real food applications. You'll conduct experiments to understand salt interactions, analyse the data to find patterns we haven't spotted yet, and present your findings to our team. Then, you'll collaborate with colleagues to apply your research insights to actual applications, seeing your work translate from lab to product.
Wat neem je mee?
We're looking for someone who's studying Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field at HBO or university level. You should be comfortable designing experiments, working with data, and explaining complex scientific concepts in a way that both researchers and product developers can understand. But most importantly, you need to be genuinely curious about the "why" behind things and excited about the idea that your research could improve plant-based food products that contribute to a more sustainable food system.
What you'll get in return: an internship allowance between €618 and €720 gross per month, the chance to work on cutting-edge plant-based protein research at a company with over 125 years of experience, guidance from experienced food scientists who are invested in your growth, and the opportunity to see your research make real impact in products that matter.
